Efterklang offshoot Liima are set to release their debut LP next month, and are using a new music video to introduce their music to Middle America. Full of nods to macaroni and cheese and suburban malaise, "Amerika" is streaming now.
The vid finds the band members bashing out beats in tool sheds or grooving in a kitchen. The hum-drum landscapes also highlight a pooch looking skeptical over the effectiveness of a sprinkler on a crumbly brown lawn, selfie culture, strip malls and more.
The band's Casper Clausen seems withdrawn from the scene, sinking into a chair or wandering aimlessly through a neighbourhood as he sings his lines.
As previously reported, Liima unites Eferklang's Clausen, Mads Brauer and Rasmus Stolberg with percussionist Tatu Rönkkö. Their debut album, ii, sees release March 18 via 4AD.
