Quebec City's long-running Le Phoque OFF festival is celebrating a decade of music-making this year, and organizers have now revealed the complete lineup with which they'll celebrate the event's 10th anniversary.
Running from February 9 to 17, Le Phoque OFF will welcome nearly 100 artists from Canada and abroad to Quebec's capital city, with performances hosted at venues including Impérial Bell, L'Anti, Bistro La Scanner, Grand Théatre de Quebec, Centre Horizon and Le Pantoum.
The festival's lineup includes previously announced headliners TEKE::TEKE and Get the Shot, alongside a musical smorgasbord of other homegrown favourites, including Nico Paulo, Population II, Sluice, Janette King, Balaklava Blues, Hate It Too, Solipsisme, Mr.82, Violet Ground, Clara Dahlie, and many others.
International performers making the trip include Chilean power trio La Julila Smith, Brussels-based electro-jazz producer Kuna Maze, French electro-pop artist Sainte-Nicole and more. Elsewhere, the fest’s sensibly priced Metal Series will see Conflit Majeur, No Waves and Kapitur, Easy Pain, Radiology, Crachat, Jetsam and Souphl take the stage at Bistro le Scanner for some punk, progressive and experimental metal sounds, while a first for the fest comes with the Le Phoque OFF Wrestling Gala, featuring sounds by house band CHOU.
Complete festival passes, showcase passes and individual performance tickets are now available for purchase. Further festival and box office information can be found via Le Phoque OFF's official website.
Recognized as Quebec City's "craziest alt music festival" for 10 years and counting, Le Phoque OFF remains dedicated in its support of emerging music in the province of Quebec and Franco-Canadian regions, breaking new acts from 'la belle province' and hosting a selection of the hottest up-and-coming artists from Canada and beyond.
