While fans have been nuzzling up close to Virginia thrash masters Lamb of God's OG pressing of As the Palace Burns since 2003, a newly tweaked anniversary edition is set to hit stores next Monday (November 11). You don't have to wait another week to check out the redo, though, as the band are streaming the set in full ahead of schedule.
As previously reported, Lamb of God had some reservations about how the album came out upon its initial release, and decided to have producer Josh Wilbur punch up the sonic quality.
"The songs are undeniable and we've always been very proud of how this album launched our career. It feels appropriate to revisit now that we can and give this very special album the chance to reach our original hopes and its true potential," drummer Chris Adler had said in a statement.
Via the player down below, you'll hear familiar crushers like "Purified" and the Devin Townsend-assisted "A Devil In God's Country," as well as the previously unheard demo versions of "Ruin," "As the Palaces Burn" and "Blood Junkie."
