Ladytron have had a busy enough year hanging out with the Faint and Christina Aguilera. Still, the UK-based electro four-piece haven't released any new material since 2008's Velocifero. While they are slowly working on a new record, the band have revealed they're also working on a greatest hits record to celebrate ten years as a band.
In a recent interview with Spinner, Ladytron's Reuben Wu said, "We've got some ideas about what we want to do about the next album, but I think first we're going to release a 'Best of Ladytron'... Since we've done four albums, I think it would be time to put something like that together."
While no official release date or tracklisting has been revealed for the compilation, Wu said that it will be ready around the summer of 2010. He also said that the set will come with some artwork that the band members have made for their live show.
"We were able to put a lot of visual stuff we amassed over the years, which would be very interesting to [old] fans, and new fans," Wu said. "Since we've been working with Christina, I think a lot of new audiences out there will want to know about us."
