English electro popsters Ladytron have finally returned with Gravity the Seducer, the group's first full-length record since 2008's Velocifero. Earlier this year, they released the compilation Best of Ladytron: 00-10, featuring new songs "Ace of Hz" and "Little Black Angel," the former appearing on the new LP. But of course, Gravity the Seducer has a lot more to offer.
Maintaining their trademark synth beats and hypnotic vocals, band member Daniel Hunt described the sound on Gravity the Seducer as "more ethereal and melodic" than their previous work. In a statement, he went on to claim, "It's our best record, in my opinion."
The album opens with first single "White Elephant," a tune guaranteed to pull listeners into a trance for the remainder of the 12-song record. Upbeat tracks like "Ritual" complement slower, more experimental songs like "Ambulances" and "Transparent Days."
Gravity the Seducer is out today (September 13) via Nettwerk, and you can stream the full album now below.
If you like what you hear, catch Ladytron this fall on their North American Tour, including stops in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.
UPDATE: This stream is no longer available.
