Early this year, Lady Gaga cancelled a heap of tour dates when she underwent hip surgery, so hopefully her 2014 outing in support of the freshly released ARTPOP will go more smoothly. She's just booked a batch of North American tour dates for the spring and summer of next year.
The outing kicks off in early May in the southern U.S. From there, she'll make her way north, eventually reaching Canada towards the end of the month. The schedule lightens up in June, but there are lots more shows in July. All told, there are Canadian gigs in Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.
The tour is dubbed "Lady Gaga's artRave: The ARTPOP Ball." Members of LittleMonsters.com will have first access to tickets starting today (December 3) at 2 p.m., while tickets for the Canadian shows will go on sale to the public on December 9. Many of the U.S. gigs go on sale on December 16.

In slightly weird Gaga news, a Tokyo company called Orient Industry has created life-size Gaga dolls with realistic skin and reportedly accurate psychical measurements. Those who press an ear up to the doll's chest will hear Gaga songs and secret messages. They were made by Orient Industry, a company that evidently specializes in, uh, adult-friendly dolls, and the Japan Times reports that Gaga was thrilled when four were presented to her.
