Toronto-via-Calgary post-hardcore act La Luna have been promising a follow-up to their self-titled debut for a long time, and now the release is finally on its way.
The album is called Always Already, and features 10 new compositions from the band.
According to the group, the album was created through a "three-year songwriting process which began when the band returned home from their UK tour in 2012." Further, they say the album features "jagged musical terrain" and "dark energy," along with "a hopefulness and polish that was missing from their 2012 debut."
The release was recorded over the course of seven days with Craig Boychuk at Public Lunch Studios. The album's artwork, available above, was designed by Tallulah Fontaine.
Always Already is set to arrive on May 10 via Middle-Man Records. Until then, Exclaim! is happy to premiere the album track "House Party." Give it a listen below.
