Toronto-based songstress A l l i e waxes poignant on her latest EP, Moonlust, touching on topics like love, loss and mystic inspiration while layering her rich alto to create pleasing harmonies. The chill, electronic-based production and ticking percussion gives Moonlust a nice, even flow. On "Yumi's Song" she finds love, but falls out of it on "Tundra," which features a post-breakup A l l i e crooning about an ex-lover over a marvellous beat produced by Montreal's Da-P: "I think our days are done, setting like the sun," Allie sings.

Flexing her storytelling muscles, Allie delves deep into her craft while opening herself to the listener, making for a telling glimpse into the soul singer's spiritual world.
