Having recently been named Innovator of 2014 at the AIM Independent Music Awards, Hyperdub founder Kode9 delivered a DJ set that lived up to the innovative standards both he and his label have set throughout a decade of releasing music. Recognized as a key figure in the creation and development of early dubstep, the man's set delivered a heavy dosage of the refined, bass-heavy UK style as well as dancehall, grime and even a crowd-pleasing moment of chiptune music.

In a touching moment late in the set, he was joined onstage by Chicago's DJ Spinn for a musical tribute to the late Windy City footwork icon DJ Rashad. With their hands in the air in memorial, the crowd put their best moves to work for the quick, technical sounds Kode9 laid down over DJ Spinn's brief moments of emceeing. It would have been hard to find a better way to celebrate the label's ten years of operation.
