Despite the decline in xylophone sales, the prevalence of collared-shirt pop continues unabated. Case in point: Waterloo, ON's Knock Knock Ginger. They don't have a xylophone; perhaps they should. In the Paper Lions and Hooded Fang vein -- albeit without the unrelentingly infectious hooks -- mixed with subtle Brit leanings (see the Holloways and, to a lesser extent, the Kinks), the band played an amiable if unremarkable set that was only occasionally hampered by a muddy mix. Kudos on the trumpet work, though.
