Wondering what Somali-Canadian rapper K'naan Warsame has been up to since releasing 2012's Country, God or the Girl? Turns out he's been working his way toward a career in television.
As The Hollywood Reporter explains, the performer is set to write, direct and executive produce a proposed HBO series called The Recruiters.
Not only will K'naan be working with an esteemed cable network, but the project sees him in good company. The show is also being executive produced by Kathryn Bigelow, the esteemed director known for The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty (as well as Point Break).
The Recruiters is set in Minnesota and explores the world of Jihadi recruiters within North America.
