The long-standing feud between Ray and Dave Davies may prevent a proper reunion from British Invasion greats the Kinks, but at least we still have their tunes to listen to, right? While many fans will already be well-versed in the outfit's output, a new series of reissues from Hip-O Select/Sanctuary is priming some early albums as deluxe editions for future fans of the band.
The label will be releasing expanded versions of the Kinks' 1964 self-titled debut, as well as 1965's Kinda Kinks and The Kinks Kontroversy that will, on top of the original album, include rarities, demos, outtakes and BBC studio sessions. Each double-disc set is set to drop April 12 in North America. The collections were already released this week in the UK. Check out the massive tracklistings below.
This is just the beginning of the reissue series, as 1969's Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire) and 1971's Muswell Hillbillies are primed for a May release, while 1966's Face to Face and 1967's Something Else are schedule to come out in July.
