Fans have been eagerly waiting for Kendrick Lamar's follow-up to his 2012 masterpiece good kid, m.A.A.d city, and now the album finally has an apparent title and release date, since a pre-order link has popped up on iTunes.
According to the listing, the album is called [Untitled], and it will be out on March 23 through Aftermath/Interscope. There aren't any track titles just yet, but the listing includes 16 songs (it's possible that some of these will be iTunes exclusives). The cover artwork is plain black at the moment.
Given that the track names haven't been filled in yet, it's possible that [Untitled] is simply a placeholder for a proper title that will be announced closer to the date. The same could possibly go for the all-black cover art.
Recent single "The Blacker the Berry" appears in the listing as the 13th track. There's no indication as to whether last year's "i" is going to be included anywhere here, since it isn't listed.
Assuming that this album arrives as scheduled on March 23, we shouldn't have long to wait until we know more. Stay tuned for further updates.
