Now that we have all the pieces to Kendrick Lamar's anticipated To Pimp a Butterfly, all that's left really is the actual album. Well, that and likely a few more teaser tracks, one of which just arrived.
This evening (March 13), King Kendrick delivered the third track on the album, "King Kunta," which is a definite change-up for the MC. Sounding like some weird cross between '80s Tom Tom Club and '90s G-funk, it's an interesting offering, to say the least. During the track's runtime, you get everything from electro-funk bass, sombre-toned post-rock guitar bits and some wacky-jack sound effects, not to mention some sassy backup singers.
Check it out below.
All of To Pimp a Butterfly arrives March 23 via Top Dawg Entertainment/Aftermath/Interscope Records.
