Toronto electronic producer Ken Park spent this past winter in Germany, and while he was there, he recorded a new album. You Think About It Too Much comes out today (July 15) through Daps Records, it's available to stream in full on Exclaim.ca.
The album was written on a Roland MC-303 and a BOSS SP-505. Marie Dior helped out as engineer and Phèdre's Daniel Lee provided the final mix and master.
The results mix raw synths with syncopated dance beats, while the tuneful pop vocals add sweetness to the arty, psychedelic production. There are only seven tracks, but the arrangements are expansive, with nearly all of the tunes clocking it at more than five minutes.
Hear it all below or grab it here on Bandcamp.
Ken Park will be celebrating the release with a show in Toronto on Friday (July 18).
