While bassist Chad Tremblay has been busy preparing his recent film, A Reasonable Man, the rest of Winnipeg, MB noisecore assaulters KEN Mode have been hard at work on a new album. The record, which will follow up their 2008 effort, Mennonite, has been given a title and a new label home.
Dubbed Venerable, the release will be recorded in August with Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou at his God City Studios. From there, Venerable will likely be released in early 2011 by their new label, forward-thinking metal purveyor Profound Lore.
That seems like a long time to wait for some new KEN Mode, but there's a good chance that the band will test out some new material when they hit the road in May and June. The North American tour will bring them all over the continent, including Canadian stops in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Medicine Hat, Regina and Saskatoon.
