Karma To Burn

Almost Heathen

West Virginia's Karma To Burn is one of those love/hate bands. You either get the fact that they are an all-instrumental trio playing groovy, fuzzed-out rock or you don't. It all depends on how big a deal vocals are to you. I often prefer it when a band plays instrumentally, especially when the band is proficient on their instruments, but I found this time around that there was something a little lacking while listening to K2B's newest disc, and I don't think singing would have helped it. While I really liked their last record, this time around the trio breaks down into more funky terrain, leaving me out in the cold. Maybe it'll grow on you, but right now it is just okay.
