K.Flay is gearing up to release a new album, revealing that MONO will hit streaming platforms on September 15 via GIANT Music.
The L.A.-based multi-hyphenate had her hands in everything on the album, co-producing and co-writing every one of the project's 15 tracks despite going completely deaf in her right ear during its conception (hence, the name MONO).
K.Flay first previewed the album in April with lead single "Raw raw," which she's followed up today by releasing "Shy" and an accompanying music video.
"In my music, I'm so comfortable being loud and brazen, but in my personal life, I can be a bit shy. Especially when it comes to romantic relationships," she admitted. "I wrote this song after I'd just met my (now) girlfriend. And I sent it to her out of the blue. I guess I only know how to flirt through songs? It worked though."
