Last year, iconic post-punk band Joy Division was celebrated with a special 40th anniversary reissue of their beloved Unknown Pleasures LP. Since this year marks the 40th anniversary of its follow-up Closer, that album is getting a reissue as well.
The record will be reissued on clear vinyl. The mixes on Closer will be taken from a previous remaster, but a handful of singles have been freshly remastered for release.
Those include "Love Will Tear Us Apart," "Transmission" and "Atmosphere," all of which will be released as 7-inch singles alongside the new LP. This marks the first time these songs have been available as singles since Factory Records shut down in 1992.
Look for all of the reissues to drop on July 17.

In addition to the LP release, non-album singles 'Transmission,' 'Atmosphere' and 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' will be reissued with 2020 remastered audio. Cut on 180g vinyl, featuring the original artwork on heavyweight board. 'Transmission' will feature an embossed sleeve.
