Peter Hook and the Light are embarking on a massive world tour next year, and will use the occasion to honour both Substance albums by Joy Division and New Order.
The companion compilations will be played in full throughout the tour, the North American leg beginning at Toronto's History on August 31. The band will then travel across the states before hitting up Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on September 23, wrapping up in Denver, CO, at the end of that month.
"It still amazes me how enjoyable it is to play the Substance LPs," Hook said via press release, "The contrast between Joy Division and New Order is very apparent but both complement each other very well. My only frustration is not being able to play more of our records each night. I am totally looking forward to the next phase."
Venue presales begin tomorrow (November 15), and general on-sale begins November 17 — both at 10 a.m. local time. Sale links can be found on Hook's website.
