Jones Bones

Jones Bones

An art rarely captured in its purest form, stripped down and done at home, these punk bones belong to Jones. East Vancouver’s Jones Bones bring the noise and take you back to a time when hardcore meant more, or at least meant something to these four boys. Drawing on one of punk’s most enduring trademarks, the spastic and recklessly gymnastic front-man Denis Maile doesn’t sit tight at centre stage. It’s all out arms, legs and heart attacks, capturing the beat and keeping skeletons like his alive. The band are a collection of appendages with a solid backbone, whose self-titled second release is a rabid three-song tribute to rambling down the road and raising hell in every town. Sound the riot sirens and get in on the action.
