Ahead of releasing a double album with Smashing Pumpkins, drummer Jimmy Chamberlin will turn his attention to a new record with his Jimmy Chamberlin Complex. The group will release Honor on September 25 through MAKE Records.

Following 2017's The ParableHonor finds Chamberlin teaming with bassist/producer Billy Mohler and guitarist Sean Wollstenhulme, Frank Catalano and Kneebody members Adam Benjamin, Ben Wendell and Shane Endsley.

"My relationship with the drums is the oldest relationship I have outside of my family," Chamberlin explains in a press release. "Since I was 8 years old, I've had this incredibly intimate relationship that's taken me on a journey predicated on the ability to play this instrument. That has to be rooted in accountability and honour, so I just wanted to pay homage to that while making a subtle commentary on what's going on today."

Honor's five tracks are titled "Integrity," "Humility," "Service," "Grace" and "Entitled." As Chamberlin tells Talkhousethey are "representative, to me, of what we engage when we try to live at our highest level." "Humility" is the first of the songs to arrive, and you can hear it below.

Chamberlin's Smashing Pumpkins bandmate, Billy Corgan, shared that the Pumpkins' aforementioned double album was due out in 2020.

Honor:

1. Integrity
2. Humility
3. Service
