If Gina Gershon gave up on her guitar, went back in time, and fronted Joydrop a few years before she made Bound, the aesthetic and sound would mirror Sydney, Australia's the Jezabels. While the big-pop foursome have yet to release an album proper, they've been on a moving walkway toward success in their native land. An LP away from an inevitable berth on a Starbucks CD rack, they're poised for mass popularity and the sheen is palpable. All smiles, big bridges and crowd-pleasing tunes, they played a likable and polished show highlighted by frontwoman Hayley Mary's knack for ain't-no-thing high notes, particularly on standout "Hurt Me."
