Jason Derulo has allegedly gotten into a fight with two men who called him Usher.
As reported by TMZ, law enforcement was called to the Aria resort in Las Vegas around 2 a.m. PT on Tuesday (January 4) after Derulo allegedly attacked two men in the bar. They were seen passing each other on an escalator when one of the guys yelled out, "Hey Usher! Fuck you, bitch!"
Derulo reportedly punched him in the face with such force that the man fell to the floor. (Imagine that — Derulo not being the one doing the falling! Eyewitnesses did not report the involvement of any red-carpeted stairs, but the altercation being escalator-adjacent definitely has a certain poeticism about it.)
The musician allegedly proceeded to slap the second man before hotel security stepped in. Derulo was then told to leave the property under a trespass order.
Police reported no injuries and the two alleged victims did not press charges against the pop star. However, they reportedly have up to one year to proceed with filing if they decide otherwise.
Whether it was a case of mistaken identity between the two R&B stars or a slight at the singer who famously sings his own name, Derulo wouldn't stand for it. And we suppose that's understandable, since Usher's huge junk did not need to be edited out of Tom Hooper's disasterpiece Cats.
Maybe Derulo was just horrified by the idea of being conflated with the man who made T-Pain slip into a depression after telling him that he "fucked up" music?
