Japandroids Return with Vancouver Residency and New Live Dates

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 10, 2016

Fans of Vancouver-bred rock duo Japandroids, start celebrating. The long-running group have announced they'll be playing a handful of shows across the globe this fall.

The duo of guitarist/vocalist Brian King and drummer David Prowse officially unveiled the tour schedule today (August 10), with it being revealed that the trek begins with a four-night stand at hometown venue the Cobalt from October 5 to 8. They're also set to play in Toronto, while non-Canadian show stops are also booked in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, London and Mexico City.

You'll find all of the date and venue details down below, where you can also see a tour poster that also happens to feature a few photos suggesting that the pair have been working in the studio.

It has been an achingly long time since the band issued their much-beloved 2012 sophomore LP, Celebration Rock. While nothing has been set in stone, a four-night stand at home seems like the perfect place to unveil some new rockers. Fingers crossed, everyone.
