Toronto's Carlyn Bezic (Ice Cream/U.S. Girls/Darlene Shrugg) has returned with plans for her sophomore solo album as Jane Inc. Faster Than I Can Take will arrive through Telephone Explosion on April 22.

Written and produced entirely by Bezic, the album promises a "disco-inflected, danceable meditation on the permeable boundaries between our interior and exterior worlds." The record — which finds vocal contributions from labelmate and fellow Torontonian Dorothea Paas — is previewed today with lead single "Contortionists."

Bezic elaborated on her latest effort:

At first I thought I was making a record about time, but I was actually making a record about how, in moments of intense anxiety, you're living in the past, present and future at the same time. A million moments existing at once, real and imagined.

Faster Than I Can Take marks the direct follow-up to last year's Number One, Besic's debut release under her solo moniker.
