James Vincent McMorrow Reveals 'We Don't Eat' EP

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 7, 2012

Though James Vincent McMorrow hasn't made as much a splash on our shores as in his native Ireland, the singer-songwriter and his debut LP Early in the Morning got some Canuck love courtesy of City and Colour's Dallas Green, who said, "When I first heard James Vincent McMorrow's voice it made me wonder why I even bother to use mine." Green just may reconsider his own game once again, now that McMorrow has lined up his new EP, We Don't Eat.

Dine Alone will deliver the five-song effort on February 21. The title cut, which originally appeared on Early in the Morning, got a big boost late last year when it was included in filmmaker Andrew Clancy's short film A Year in New York, which has been viewed over half a million times. You can see the clip below.

Also featured on the EP is the Dubliner's studio take of former Traffic leader Steve Winwood's 1986 hit "Higher Love," as well as live versions of the aforementioned tracks and Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game."
