Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has shared plans for a new solo album. The vocalist has announced a new effort titled The Mandrake Project, expected to arrive via BMG in 2024.

At this point, there are few other details about The Mandrake Project, though we know it follows Dickinson's 2005 solo outing Tyranny of Souls.

Like that LP, the forthcoming Mandrake Project will be produced by longtime collaborator Roy Z. Reviewing Tyranny of Souls upon its release, Exclaim! contributor Greg Pratt wrote how Dickinson and Z "craft anthem upon anthem that is undeniably Maiden, but way less over the top."

"This album has been a very personal journey for me and I am extremely proud of it," Dickinson shared in a statement [via Blabbermouth]. "Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years, and I am very excited for people to finally hear it. I'm even more excited at the prospect of getting out on the road with this amazing band that we have put together, to be able to bring it to life."

Dickinson has also launched a website behind The Mandrake Project, pointing to a series of 2024 tour dates in Mexico and Brazil. You can find those below.

The vocalist shares that there will be performances booked beyond those dates in due time, writing, "We're planning to play as many shows as we can in as many places as possible, for as many people as we can! As for what The Mandrake Project actually is… all will be revealed soon."

In the time since Tyranny of Souls, Dickinson has shared solo DVD compilation Anthology, and has lent his iconic vocals to four Iron Maiden studio albums: 2006's A Matter of Life and Death, 2010's The Final Frontier, 2015's The Book of Souls and 2021's Senjutsu.
