Iron Maiden Team Up with 'Angry Birds' for Some Reason

In addition to kick-ass falsettos and guitarmonies, metal greats Iron Maiden possess the greatest gift of all in 2017 — an original character. Frankly, we're surprised Eddie hasn't been subjected to his own film or three, but they have managed to monetize the monster. Following the launch of their own RPG, Maiden have taken Eddie to the world of, um, Angry Birds.

Yes, the mobile game that not only still exists but has also made a ridiculous amount of cash through merchandising and movie-making will soon get a taste of Iron Maiden's evil.

"Our team is filled with massive Iron Maiden fans and Eddie was both our first choice and a natural fit in Angry Birds Evolution," said a representative from the game. "It's about time his status as a true rock icon was celebrated and we know that fans will love seeing Eddie The Bird raise hell on Bird Island!"

Sounds awful! Watch the trailer for Iron Maiden's Angry Birds collab below, and play as Eddie from October 16 to October 31.
