Iron Maiden Reveal The Final Frontier, Canada/U.S. Tour

BY Greg PrattPublished Mar 4, 2010

Two exciting pieces of news from the Iron Maiden camp today: the band have announced both the title of their new studio album and details of their upcoming North American tour, which, yes, will hit Canada.

The band's new album, their first since '06's A Matter of Life and Death, will be called The Final Frontier and is tentatively scheduled for a late summer release. Infinitely more exciting than that rather forgettable album title is news that the boys will be heading out on that extensive North American tour with unlikely openers prog-metal heroes Dream Theater as support.

The tour, which ends on July 20 in Washington, DC, is Maiden's longest North American jaunt in years. The Canadian shows are listed below; a complete listing of the tour dates is available here.

Canadian tour dates:

6/24 Vancouver, BC - GM Place

6/26 Edmonton, AB - Rexall Place

6/29 Saskatoon, SK - Credit Union Centre
6/30 Winnipeg, MB - MTS Centre (no Dream Theater)

7/3 Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheater

7/7 Montreal, QC - Bell Centre
