Invasions Reveal Sophomore Album, Share Canadian Tour Dates and New Track

BY Matthew RitchiePublished Oct 7, 2013

Toronto-based garage rockers Invasions may have released their debut LP, Cult of the Half Moon, only a year ago, but the hard-rocking five-piece have already done a stylistic 180, developing a more "surf western"-inspired sound for their upcoming LP. Thankfully, fans won't have to wait long to find out exactly what that sounds like, as their self-titled sophomore effort will arrive October 25.

The album was recorded by the quintet in their multi-purpose rehearsal space/studio and mastered by Jon Drew (Tokyo Police Club, Fucked Up). According to a press release, working in their own private area "allowed for meticulous attention to detail; capturing unique tones…while focusing on maintaining a live energetic vibe" that the band have come to be known for.

Hear for yourself by listening to album standout "Rosy," which is streaming below ahead of the album's official release date. And if you like what you hear, catch the band on their upcoming Canadian tour, which is listed under the album's complete tracklisting.
