If this album had carried on the way it stared then, yes, it would deserve to be buried. Bury Me Alive begins with the typical over-the-top, overly polished sound that any glossy metalcore act would love. Within minutes, the generic metalcore-ness is just too blatant — a barrage of breakdowns, a chorus of clean vocals and moments of merciless metal. Now, what are Inhale Exhale doing right? For starters, this Cleveland, OH four-piece are on top of their game in terms of writing tight, technical guitar riffs, their ability to meld pretty vocals with metal and hardcore tempos is proper, and their musicianship is solid. However, that's not taking into consideration that Bury Me Alive is yet another release that slams, punch and kicks like a WWE superstar. Fans of this genre should be hearing music that's more memorable and taking that into consideration, this album is going to last in your memory about as long as Ron "the Truth" Killings did in the WWE.
