Copenhagen post-punks Iceage have been talking about a follow-up to 2013's You're Nothing pretty much since they released it, hinting at plans for their third LP last spring. Well, today they've shared their first taste of new music.
"The Lord's Favorite" is a brand new song from Iceage, and while it maintains their rough-hewn punk edge, it also shows some evolution in the band. Namely, it's a strangely country-tinged track complete with shuffling drums and more of a melody than usual.
The song also comes with a noirish new video complete with dimly lit rooms, a frightening character in a wig and slow-motion champagne facials. Watch the full thing below courtesy of director Cali DeWitt, who also appears in the video. The band promise more new music soon.
In addition, Iceage fans around North America will be able to hear more new material as the band have announced another lap around the continent. The group will hit various stops around North America this fall, including shows in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Check out the full itinerary below.
