Toronto, ON's Holy Grinder (featuring members of Mad Trapper, War Balm and the Blind Surgeons Operation) unleash their sophomore record, Cult of Extermination. The album was recorded with Fuck the Facts' Topon Das at his Apartment 2 studio, and finds the noise-grind trio amplifying the intensity of their raw and visceral sound. Cult of Extermination picks up where their 2016 debut, Eradicate All Scum, left off, while experimenting with new, harsh sounds and blackened tones.

"Bootlicker" starts the album off with piecing feedback before dense, corrosive dissonance kicks in on the brash "Tomb of Disgust." Tracks like the 34-second "Bile Overdose" and 29-second "Grave Dog" are short bursts of nihilistic grinding chaos, with vicious rage-filled vocals to match, while "Secret Scum" features moments of doom-filled rhythm. Cult of Extermination is extremely diverse, as each tracks contains it's own distinct approach to noisy, furious grind. The result is an impressive album that is discordant and jarring, yet structurally focussed and thoughtful.
