Former Hey Rosetta! frontman Tim Baker is gearing up for his solo effort Forever Overhead, and he's teasing us with another new album track. This one is called "All Hands," and you can check it out now.
As Baker explained, the song serves as a love letter of sorts to his Newfoundland roots.
"This is a song about my past," said Baker in a statement. "It's a song of homesickness that grew into a nostalgic anthem. I was thinking of the Newfoundland diaspora (or any diaspora, really). And it turned out celebratory — sort of revelling in the fact that there is this place that is an inescapable part of me, along with all the people there that I've loved and learned from and been shaped by. One of my favourite things is when a reason for despair turns out to also be a reason for celebration, almost simultaneously. It feels good to sing."
You can hear "All Hands" down below.
The song follows the previously shared "Dance" single.
As previously reported, Forever Overhead will arrive on April 19 via Arts & Crafts. Baker is also taking the album out on tour, and you can see all the dates here.
