Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: TOBi, Spiritbox, myst milano., Charlotte Day Wilson

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Aug 25, 2023

The harsh reality is that summer never lasts long enough. It's officially the final Friday of August, but fear not — there's still plenty of sunshine left to soak up. (September is mostly still summer, right?) Canadian artists certainly aren't letting go just yet, with this week's best new Canadian music's sherbet-bright bursts of feeling and ice cream truck jingle melodies.

Charlotte Day Wilson teams up with Snoh Aalegra for "Forever," while TOBi joins forces with Kenny Mason, and Spiritbox sound anything but "Jaded" on the first single from their new EP, The Fear of Fear.

This week in album releases, we have the fantastic bombast of myst milano., the pristine pop of Charlotte Cardin and Hannah Georgas's immaculate songcraft. DijahSB has also served up some more tasty raps, and Nora Kelly Band are the most memorable clown at their first rodeo.

Elsewhere, there's a treasure trove of new music from Tired Cossack, Carsen Gray, Virgo Rising, Fortunato Durutti Marinetti, Keys N Krates, Radar Peak and more — a whole summer bucket list's worth. Make the most of those final days of sun and fun with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
