BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jul 1, 2022

Well, it would be awfully strange for us to skip out on compiling the week's best fresh Canadian tracks on this particular New Music Friday, wouldn't it? There's no pride in genocide — let the powerful music being made by those occupying this land mass serve as a reminder.

This week brought a new single and album announcement from Dan Snaith's Daphni and Men I Trust are finding it "Hard to Let Go" with their first new music since last year's excellent Untourable Album — one of Exclaim!'s 50 Best of 2021Aquakultre brings the "Africvillean Funk," while Housewife (f.k.a. Moscow Apartment) deliver chills with "Bones (God Like You)."

There are also fresh album releases from Ghost Woman (Ghost Woman), Classified and Thirteen Goats (Servants of the Outer Dark). Elsewhere, Exclaim! New Faves alum Petal Supply features on the latest from Casey MQTanya Tagaq gets remixed by Daedelus, Toronto's Poolblood is the latest Next Door Records signee and PONY rides again.

We've got your long weekend playlist sorted with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
