Hear Robert De Niro's Full Collaboration with Nils Frahm and Woodkid

As previously reported, Robert De Niro has teamed up with Nils Frahm and Woodkid to soundtrack Ellis, a short film about immigration that the actor also stars in. After hearing some brief snippets, we can now hear the collaboration in full.

Frahm and Woodkid have created a moving, neoclassical score for the film, which was directed by JR. The first track is an instrumental, while the second features narration from Robert De Niro.

"Robert says it all in 17 minutes," Frahm said in a statement. "We are not facing a refugee crisis. We are facing a crisis because we do not embrace, we do not sympathise and we cannot give up fear. Art can encourage so I hope this project will help fight the fear in all of us."

Both moving pieces can now be streamed in full below.

The songs will arrive on CD, vinyl and digital formats on July 8 through Erased Tapes. Proceeds will go to the Sea Watch initiative, a non-profit devoted to the protection and rescue of civilian refugees.
