Following their live return last year, Land of Talk recently confirmed plans for a brand new album titled Life After Youth, and now they've shared another track off the upcoming effort.
"This Time" is the second snippet we've heard from the new LP, following up "Inner Lover," and it hears frontwoman Elizabeth Powell declaring her desire to do things differently "this time" and seize the moment.
Her emotive vocals are backed by urgent guitars, steady percussion and warbling flourishes that add a bit of psychedelia into the mix — not to mention some accompaniment from another familiar voice. The track boasts backing vocals from Powell's old pal Sharon Van Etten, who co-wrote the tune (as well as fellow LP cuts "Heartcore" and "Loving").
Give it a spin in the player down below.
As previously reported, Life After Youth is due out on May 19 through Dine Alone in Canada and Saddle Creek everywhere else. Land of Talk also have some upcoming tour dates, and you can see those all here.
