'Violet Bent Backwards over the Grass' is out as an audiobook today

Lana Del Rey's new spoken word album, Violet Bent Backwards over the Grass, is out today as an audiobook, and you can now hear the poem that opens the effort.

"LA Who Am I to Love You" finds the artist addressing the titular city, first setting the scene with opening lines "I left my city for San Francisco / Took a free ride off a billionaire's jet."

Though Violet Bent Backwards over the Grass is only currently available through Audible, you can take in its opening poem below.

As previously reportedViolet Bent Backwards over the Grass will also arrive as a 112-page hardcover book will arrive on September 29 via Simon & Schuster, ahead of a more traditional CD and vinyl release on October 2.
