We can always rely on time to do that thing where it somehow passes by in the blink of an eye and at a snail's pace all at once. It's official: another year is nearly over. Though much of the year left something to be desired (to put it mildly), we're already feeling nostalgic about the excellent new Canadian music 2022 brought with it.
Among Exclaim! staff favourites, it's hard to deny that it was a huge year for comebacks, with Alexisonfire and Alvvays being prime examples. We also got to see familiar faces reform with exciting new projects, including Cola, Julianna Riolino, Jasmyn, Jane Inc, Marci and Weird Nightmare.
You can find more of the absolute crême de la crême with Exclaim!'s ranking of the 25 best songs of 2022, as well as more great 2022 CanCon that's not to be slept on. Plus, there's our weekly Staff Picks feature to get even more recommendations and find out which of us is your taste twin. Are you more of a Calum or an Allie? A Kaelen or a Sydney? (It's about to become the new Coke vs. Pepsi in 2023, just you wait and see).
Whether you're a resolution maker or not, resolve to make a goal of mulling it over while listening to The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
