It's time for 'a very chilly christmas'

Yes, it's only the middle of November, but the holiday offerings are coming fast and furious. This includes Chilly Gonzales' new album A very chilly christmas, which you can hear now.

As previously reported, the album features high-profile guests Feist and Jarvis Cocker, who both join Chilly on a cover of "Snow Is Falling in Manhattan" by late Silver Jews frontman David Berman. Feist also helps out on the record's only original track "The Banister Bough," with the rest of the album being made up of holiday-appropriate covers.

"Christmas is a time of very mixed intense emotion for me, and the existing canon often sounds like a forced smile," Gonzales previously said in a statement. "Christmas is a typical time for superficial happiness, but also a time for reflection and mourning the sad events throughout the year, and to play the songs in a minor key makes Christmas more authentic and realistic."

A very chilly christmas is out now via Evergreen, and you can hear it below.
