Angel Olsen is certainly up to something, and whatever it is, she needs her organ for it. The songwriter posted a cryptic flyer to her socials yesterday (March 5), providing a phone number to call if anyone has seen her "missing" instrument.
"HAVE YOU SEEN MY ORGAN? PLEASE CALL ANGEL," the poster reads with a phone number attached. As of time of publication, when you call the number, a pre-recorded message says, "Hi there, it's Angel. If you're calling about the organ, I found it," before playing a sampling of the organ's music.
UPDATE (3/6, 2:22 p.m. ET): Olsen has uploaded another flyer to her socials, this time reading, "NOTHING'S FREE... SAXOPHONE FOR SALE. $307 OBO, CALL NOW ON +1 (828) 282-8359 TO HEAR IT PLAY." The number is out of service as of time of update.
While it doesn't seem like Olsen's organ has actually been misplaced, it's clear something is going on. The most obvious deduction is new music, though Olsen just released her last record Big Time less than a year ago — and it was one of our favourites of 2022.
