Fresh off a two-night stint supporting the Jim Cuddy Band in nearby Niagara-on-the-Lake, Toronto duo Miranda Mulholland (Great Lake Swimmers) and Andrew Penner (Sunparlour Players) opened Sunday afternoon of Supercrawl (September 10) with their foot-stomping brand of folk-rock.

Performing crowd-pleasing tracks like "Hangnail" and "Told a Lie to My Heart," taken from their 2016 debut record Call to Arms, Harrow Fair attracted both young and old showgoers to the stage. Mulholland's lively fiddle playing was complemented by the acoustic guitar stylings of Penner who, despite staying seated, managed to match his bandmate's energy. The chemistry shared between the two best revealed itself with the harmonious intertwining of their vocals on their stellar cover of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game."

Harrow Fair are a lively and talented pair of talented instrumentalists whose soulful performance offered a warm welcome to the day.
