Spencer Burton played two songs as Grey Kingdom when he dropped by the Exclaim! office for a TV session a few weeks ago. The first was "Untitled" and not yet officially released. Here's the second one, "Dark Passing of Love," which is another new track.
"Dark Passing of Love" finds a world-weary and heartbroken Burton lending a voice to the emotional turmoil of falling in and out of love.
Grey Kingdom will be opening for City and Colour on Sept. 12 in Toronto at the Molson Amphitheatre. Also on the bill are The Avett Brothers and Hey Rosetta! Grey Kingdom's sparse acoustic songs will surely compliment the other artists and bring an air of intimacy to the large outdoor venue.
