Kicking off an impressive showcase of varied rock talent from Ireland, Grand Pocket Orchestra poured their spastic young hearts into a set brimming with piss and pixie dust. The four-piece employed mostly duel guitars and drums with the lone lady supplying keys, glock, melodica and harmony vocals to the front-man's yelping leads. An odd alchemy of ragged chaos and drastically controlled arrangements occurred in the Pocket's performance, leaving the mind reeling for comparison points and settling on a bizarre hybrid of dd/mm/yyyy and XTC or Ramones and Ponytail jacked full of candy and amphetamines.
