L.A. cinema grind purveyors Graf Orlock have never shied away from jaw-dropping packaging. 2007's Destination Time Tomorrow featured an Alien facehugger. But for Doombox, Gorlock have created the most elaborate container ever: a boom box that houses Doombox ten-inch vinyl, as well as a CD featuring their Destination Time Trilogy and Doombox tracks. It's not ostentatious just for the sake of it, with the six new metallic monstrosities featuring samples and dialogue-as-lyrics from such films as Juice, Menace II Society and Boyz n the Hood, the packaging thematically complements the twisted filmic noise within.
