It's been close to 10 years since reunited Santa Cruz punk crew Good Riddance have issued a full-length, but the band don't appear to be rusty. A fine, fast and furious teaser to the band's upcoming Peace in Our Time has arrived in the form of a video for the album's "Dry Season".
The track employs hallmarks of the Good Riddance sound: high-speed punk drumming, harmonius if melancholic guitar melodies, and the gruff, politically charged vocals of Russ Rankin. The tune has him sounding off on the politics of war and how they affect the people; bassist Chuck Platt adds a few blood-curdling screams to the mix. Visually, the clip shows the band hard at work in the practice space.
Is it another ballad for the revolution? You'll have to figure that out by yourself by giving the song a stream down below.
As previously reported, Peace in Our Time arrives April 21 through Fat Wreck Chords. It's their first full-length since since 2006's My Republic.
