It's their first release since 2017's 'Luciferian Towers'

Earlier this week, Constellation Records shared a cryptic teaser, and we now know why: Godspeed You! Black Emperor are releasing a new album.

The release — their first since 2017's Luciferian Towers — is called G_d's Pee AT STATES END. It's made up of four compositions, all of which were written on the road and tracked live at the Hotel2Tango studio last October.

According to a press release, the album sees the band returning to a use of field recordings, once again incorporating static-laden AM radio monologues from apocalyptic radio hosts.

G_d's Pee AT STATES END will arrive on April 2 via Constellation. The album will not be previewed on streaming services. Instead, the label has sent over 100 advance 10-inch vinyl records to independent record stores, who can do what they want with the release.

In addition to the double 10-inch vinyl release, the album will also come out on CD and digitally.
