Girlpool teased their new single "Faultline" last week with a brief video snippet, and today sees the arrival of the full thing. It's a Harmony Tivided-led offering, a gentle cloud of a song that rides a sleepy drumbeat and washes of synth and guitar.
In a statement about the song, Tividad said: "The faultline represents everything you do as a means of escape that pushes you further into the very thing you're escaping."
The new single comes attached to a video co-directed by the duo with Julian Klincewicz, and it finds Tividad drifting through a series of streets and rooms populated by odd side characters.
There's no word on whether "Faultline" means a new record is on the way, but it seems likely. Girlpool's last album was 2019's What Chaos Is Imaginary.
